Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups
Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups are a fun and tasty twist on a classic cheeseburger. These rollups feature a savory garlic butter base, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and seasoned ground beef—all rolled up in a soft dough. They’re perfect for a quick dinner, game day, or as an appetizer. Here’s a delicious recipe you can try!
Ingredients:
For the rollups:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking the beef)
- 8 oz (1 can) refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough (if using pizza dough, roll it out into a rectangle)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 6 slices)
- 1/2 medium onion, finely diced (optional)
For the garlic butter sauce:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ground Beef:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat, then season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and remove from heat. Let it cool slightly.
2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and fresh parsley (if using). Stir to combine and set aside.
3. Assemble the Rollups:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough or pizza dough on a clean surface. If using crescent rolls, pinch the seams together to form a solid rectangle.
- Brush the dough with about half of the garlic butter mixture.
- Evenly spread the cooked ground beef over the dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
- Add the crumbled bacon and finely diced onion (if using) on top.
- Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly into a log or cylinder, pinching the seams together to seal the rollup.
4. Cut and Bake:
- Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 1-inch slices (if using pizza dough, you can cut it into thicker slices, about 1 1/2 inches).
- Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a little apart.
- Brush the top of each rollup with the remaining garlic butter sauce.
5. Bake:
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
6. Serve:
- Serve the Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups warm with a side of ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce (barbecue sauce, ranch, or mustard work great!).
Tips:
- For extra flavor: You can add pickles or a little mustard inside the rollups before rolling them up for a true “burger” flavor.
- Add veggies: If you’d like to add more veggies, you can sauté diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach and add them to the filling.
- Cheese options: If you want to change up the cheese, Swiss, mozzarella, or pepper jack would work great as substitutes!
These Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups are a crowd-pleaser and make for a satisfying and fun meal. Enjoy!
