Life in captivity represents one of the most severe forms of existence. Every living creature—whether animal or human—is intended to live freely. Unfortunately, numerous animals are compelled to spend their lives in confinement, never experiencing true freedom

Mufasa, a mountain lion from Peru, faced this harsh reality. For two decades, he was kept chained in the rear of a pickup truck,

traveling with a circus. Like many animals in circuses, he endured daily neglect and abuse.

His tragic story changed when Animal Defenders International (ADI), an organization dedicated to animal rights,

found him while working to dismantle the circus. Committed to liberating Mufasa, ADI undertook the difficult mission of rescuing him.

The process of freeing him was challenging, but they ultimately succeeded. For the first time in many years,
