A timeless classic that never disappoints — tender, juicy steak fresh off the grill paired with a perfectly baked potato, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside.
Ingredients:
• 1 ribeye or sirloin steak (about 1-inch thick)
• 1 large russet potato
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• Salt & black pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
• 1 tbsp butter
• Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme)
• Sour cream, shredded cheese, or chives for topping
Instructions:
1. Prep the Potato: Scrub the potato, rub it with olive oil, and season with salt. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 50–60 minutes until soft inside.
2. Season the Steak: Pat dry, drizzle with olive oil, and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Grill: Preheat the grill to high heat. Sear the steak 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to your liking).
4. Rest: Let the steak rest for 5–10 minutes to retain its juices.
5. Serve: Slice the steak and serve with the baked potato topped with butter, sour cream, cheese, and chives.
Simple, satisfying, and full of flavor — the perfect weekend dinner combo!
