CHOCOLATE CHIP DESSERT PIZZA

Ingredients:
1 (12-inch) pre-made pizza crust
1½ cups yellow cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
½ cup milk chocolate chips
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
Instructions:
Pre-bake the crust: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Press the pizza crust evenly into a 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet. Use a fork to poke holes all over the surface to prevent air bubbles. Bake for 5 minutes—just until lightly set but not browned.
Make the topping base: In a medium bowl, stir together the dry yellow cake mix and melted butter until a thick, spreadable paste forms. Set aside.
Prepare sugar blend: In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and brown sugar. This mixture creates a delicate, crackly crust when baked.
Assemble the pizza: Remove the par-baked crust from the oven. Spread the cake mix–butter mixture evenly over the surface, leaving a small border around the edge if desired. Press the milk chocolate chips gently into the topping so they don’t slide off during baking.
Add finishing sugar: Sprinkle the sugar blend evenly over the entire surface, focusing on the center and avoiding excessive buildup on the bare crust edges (which can burn).
Bake until golden: Return to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the topping is puffed, lightly golden, and the chocolate chips are soft and glossy. The edges should be crisp, while the center remains slightly chewy.
Serve warm: Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing into wedges. Best enjoyed fresh and warm—the texture firms slightly as it cools.
